"NEW OFFENSIVE coordinator Mike Sullivan is a Tom Coughlin disciple, so I would expect the Bucs to have a run-first philosophy.

A lot of people are high on rookie running back Doug Martin, but I would temper the enthusiasm a little bit. LeGarrette Blount is still a heck of a back—we couldn't tackle him. The reason his numbers fell last year was that the team was behind in so many games and needed to throw, and he's not a receiver out of the backfield. If the Bucs can stay in more games this year, he'll have a better season. Don't get me wrong: The rookie will play, but just about every team alternates running backs these days.

I expect Josh Freeman to have a bounce-back year. He didn't have the talent around him last season, but the front office has surrounded him with talent now.

The signing of Vincent Jackson is going to help. He's the real deal, a big-time receiver. In San Diego he was around the 60-catch, 1,100-yard, nine-touchdown range, and I see him reaching those numbers or better this season. If I were Freeman, I'd throw to Jackson all the time.

Mike Williams is really only a jump-ball receiver. He'll be more of a threat in the red zone than between the 20s.

Tight end Luke Stocker didn't play much last year, but the Bucs must have confidence in him if they were willing to trade Kellen Winslow. He'll be the man because Dallas Clark is old and frail."
