Scouting Reports

NASCAR's best are already looking to 2010. Here's what to watch for when the green flag comes down

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8

16 DALE EARNHARDT JR.

2009 SEASON 25th place, 0 wins, 5 top 10s

THE LOWDOWN

If there's any consolation to be found in Junior's annus horribilis, it's that things certainly can't get much worse. Thanks to Hendrick, he'll have superior equipment once again; now it's just up to the driver.

17 CLINT BOWYER

2009 SEASON 15th place, 0 wins, 16 top 10s

THE LOWDOWN

The best of an underperforming Richard Childress Racing operation, Bowyer remains remarkably consistent, having failed to finish only one of the last 109 races. The bottom line, though, is that he and RCR are just not that fast.

18 DAVID REUTIMANN

2009 SEASON 16th place, 1 win, 10 top 10s
