PLAYERS
Biography: Three-year starter who finished with career-best numbers of 62 receptions/846 yards/3 TDs as a senior after 50/765/4 the prior
year. Sophomore totals included 43/651/6.
Positives: Dependable pass catcher who stands out in many aspects of the receiver position. Fluid releasing off the line of scrimmage, can turn it on in a single step and possesses a deceptive burst of speed. Displays soft and strong hands with the ability to snatch the ball from the air. Solid route runner who quickly gets into breaks, stays low on exit and immediately transitions from making the catch to running after the reception. Plays heads-up football, displays terrific eye/hand coordination and remains focused throughout the action. Consistently makes the catch with his hands and goes up in a crowd or comes away with the difficult reception in the middle of the field. Displays a sense of timing, gets vertical over defenders and adjusts to make some very athletic receptions. Sturdy wideout who can hold onto the ball when he takes a hit. Makes difficult over-the-shoulder catches downfield. Negatives: More quick than fast and not a true downfield threat. Possesses adequate size yet lacks the measurables to be a first or second receiver at the next level. Analysis: Jones has been productive and reliable on the college level since his sophomore season. He performed well at the Senior Bowl and has been moving up draft boards the past four months. Jones possesses all the skills necessary to be a third receiver lined up in the slot or out on the flanks and should produce as a rookie in the NFL. Projection: 2-3
