PLAYERS
Biography: Two-year starter who saw action at both left and right tackle.
Positives: Well-sized lineman best in a small area. Stays square, keeps the defender in front of him and controls opponents once engaged at the point of attack. Bends his knees, keeps his feet moving and makes good use of blocking angles. Solid pass protector. Negatives: Large, lumbering lineman who's not light on his feet. Lacks balance and body control. Ducks his head and will miss blocks. Analysis: After rarely seeing action his first two seasons with Pittsburgh, Gibbs displayed a lot of skill during his junior and senior campaigns. He's a big prospect who still needs work on his game and is worthy of practice squad consideration. Projection: FA |
