Axl Rose has a new album called Chinese Democracy.
AP

Blender Magazine's Rob Tannenbaum joins the show to review Axl Rose's Chinese Democracy.

Tannenbaum points out it took over 15 years and about $170 million to make. He compares the album to a Michael Bey film. Explosives and fun, but you walk out of the theater and say "what just happened?" The plot made no sense and you feel empty.

Tannenbaum says at moments, you forget all of that and say to yourself it was all worth it. At other times, the album doesn't deliver that.

Tannenbaum said the album of the year is by Lil Wayne. Tannenbaum will not confirm that Lil Wayne is the Bob Dylan of our generation.

Bill Cowher quit coaching after the 2006 season.

Profootballtalk.com's Mike Florio broke the story that Cleveland will make a big offer to Bill Cowher. Here's Florio's takes on Cowher and more NFL topics:

-- Florio would be surprised if Cowher took the Browns job and threw out his legacy in Pittsburgh, since they're such big rivals.

-- Florio also pointed to Detroit and Dallas as potential landing spots for Cowher.

-- Florio says Jerry Jones might be thinking twice about offensive coordinator Jason Garrett as the next head coach as the Cowboys struggle this year.

-- Florio says Bengals owner Mike Brown could have gotten a first-rounder from Washington for Chad Johnson this offseason. Now Brown will probably get less for Ocho Cinco this offseason if the Bengals decide to deal him.

-- Florio commented on media outlets discussing gambling. He believes that if NFL banned gambling, it wouldn't have a huge impact on the game.

Graham Harrell could wrap up the Heisman on Saturday.
AP

Chris Huston from Heismanpundit.com joins the show to break down this year's race. Here are some of his observations on this year's award and his "Heismandments."

-- Graham Harrell will wrap it up if Texas Tech beats Oklahoma. He may not be high profile and he plays in a big-numbers system, but if he beats the Sooners than those factors won't be a problem. Huston says it will be the most unlikely Heisman since Barry Sanders in 1988.

-- Texas' Colt McCoy would have a better shot than Oklahoma's Sam Bradford, because McCoy is a junior and Bradford is a sophomore.

-- Tim Tebow doesn't have a chance this year. The Heisman is based on the biggest story of the year, and this year it's all about the Big 12. Tebow broke the Heismandments by winning as a sophomore.

Davis thinks the Gators will play for the national title.
AP

NFL Network college football expert Charles Davis joins the show to preview the upcoming bowls.

Rose Bowl: Davis thinks Oregon State could sneak into the Rose Bowl and it will likely face Penn State.

Sugar Bowl: Loser of the SEC title game could face either USC or Ohio State. Dan doesn't want to see the Buckeyes face an SEC team.

Fiesta Bowl: Could be a BCS-buster in this one. Utah or Boise State are a good geographic fit. Davis explains that whoever hosted the national title gets the last pick the following year, so the Fiesta might get a buster.

Orange Bowl: Davis picks Texas Tech to beat Oklahoma and reach the national title game. He thinks Florida beats Alabama to earn a chance to play for the title.

Dan asked Davis if he thinks we're moving closer to a playoff system. Davis says that Obama's statement could have an impact. Davis argues that presidents have always had an impact on football. Just look at Theodore Roosevelt cleaning up the game and Richard Nixon declaring Texas was the national champion over Penn State.

Dan just mentioned the E! network named its 10 sexiest women in the world. Here's their list. Weigh in with your thoughts in the "Comments" section:

1. Karolina Kurkova

2. Bar Rafaeli

3. Angelina Jolie

4. Gisele Bundchen

5. Scarlett Johansson

6. Adriana Lima

7. Heidi Klum

8. Penelope Cruz

9. Manuela Arcuri

Rich Rodriguez's Wolverines face Ohio State on Saturday.
AP

Detroit Free Press columnist Drew Sharp has all the news on a tough season for football fans in the state of Michigan:

-- A win at Ohio State will not salvage the season for Michigan's Rich Rodriguez. Sharp says this is the worst season in Michigan history.

-- Sharp said he's never met a more confident coach. But he was blindsided by how bad his defense was. And he was stung by the criticism.

-- Sharp said Rodriguez never should have taken the bait and responded to bloggers by telling fans to "get a life." Rodriguez should have known to blow that off.

-- Sharp says Rodriguez will have a lot of pressure coming in next year. But he'll probably have to start a true freshman at quarterback. Then in three years, it's BCS or bust. Michigan is building a new stadium in 2010, and it hasn't been able to sell all of the 86 luxury boxes because of the economy. Yikes.

-- Sharp says the Lions have the same problem. For years, Detroit fans would spend good money to watch a bad team. But with the economy in the tank, fans can't afford to go to Lions games any more.

-- Dan and Sharp agreed Lions coach Rod Marinelli seems like Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men during press conferences. Sharp says Marinelli is engaging too much with the reporters.

-- Sharp says that Allen Iverson has brought a lot of energy to the Pistons, but the most exciting aspect of the A.I. trade is his contract coming off the book down the road.

Huge weekend in college football and the NFL coming up. Here are the big storylines Dan should hit today:

-- Texas Tech-Oklahoma. Not only is a shot at the national title on the line, but the Heisman could be decided in this one between the Red Raiders' Graham Harrell and the Sooners' Sam Bradford.

-- Michigan-Ohio State: Do we care any more? Hey, at least the Wolverines' hoops team got a win over UCLA.

-- Jets-Titans: Can Brett Favre's Jets knock off the undefeated Titans?

-- Giants-Cardinals: Kurt Warner faces his former team in what could be an NFC Championship Game preview.

-- Patriots-Dolphins: This game could determine a wild-card spot in the playoffs, as New England tries to get revenge for a blowout loss to Miami in September.

-- NBA: The Lakers easily handled the Suns and the Celtics beat up the Pistons last night. Are we headed for a rematch of last season's NBA Finals?

-- College Hoops: As I mentioned above, Michigan upset UCLA. And Texas Tech somehow scored 167 points last night.

Donovan McNabb had a rough game in Cincinnati.
AP

Dan said that when Donovan McNabb said he didn't know about regular-season ties, his NBC partner Jerome Bettis immediately said McNabb wasn't kidding. The Eagles quarterback didn't know.

Bettis blamed Andy Reid for not helping out his quarterback and he's not surprised McNabb had never thought about ties.

Bettis thinks the Titans will overlook an opponent at some point this season. But probably not the Jets. Bettis says Tennessee's defense is playing well enough to win, but maybe not well enough to win it all. Bettis says they're a bend-but-don't-break defense.

Bettis and Dan also got into Notre Dame's issues. Bettis says his alma mater has a young, promising team. Dan asked Bus which would be better: Pittsburgh winning or Notre Dame winning. Bettis chose the Irish.

Donovan McNabb weighed in on the controversy surrounding his ignorance of the tie rule in regular-season NFL games. Check out his blog entry:

"Everybody wants to know about the overtime situation. Whatever happened had no bearing on the outcome of the game. That's all that matters. We all know the rules now. There is no need to waste any more time on the subject. If you want some answers, check out my website (www.DonovanMcNabb.com) where my press conference from today is available.

What you won't find from that press conference that is supposed to preview the Ravens game this week is anything about this week's game. So I'll share my thoughts here. ... "

Marisa Miller clears up swimsuit shoot rumors.

Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Marisa Miller joined the show to give dating advice, that Dan seems to have trouble believing.

Marisa says looks don't matter for guys, it's more about chemistry. I think she was talking about her little crush on McLovin'.

Marisa, however, did dispel the myth about "breast wranglers." According to Miller, that's not a real job on SI swimsuit shoots. Marisa says that Dan was given bad information.

Seton says that Miller probably just didn't use the term "breast wrangler" -- that the job exists but it's called something else. Seton is a bit of a dreamer, but I tend to agree with him on this one.
