Golden Bears clip Clemson for NIT crown
The Golden Bears did their mamas and papas proud. Geno Carlisle's 3-point play with 4.7 seconds remaining in regulation capped yet another Cal comeback and lifted the Golden Bears to a 61-60 victory over Clemson in the NIT championship at Madison Square Garden on Thursday. In the consolation game, Lenny Brown's final game for Xavier turned into his best. Brown led the Musketeers to an easy 106-75 rout of Oregon, scoring a career-high 34 points.
